Dear friends of The Royal Canadian Legion in Bath,

I hope this message finds you healthy and happy. My name is Katie and I work for The Kidney Foundation of Canada – Kingston Chapter in Fund Development and Events Assisting. The Kidney Foundation receives no government funding nor are we a funded agency of the United Way. The financial support of your organization makes the difference. Over 4 million Canadians have kidney disease. Chances are this includes someone you know: family; friends; customers; employees; and co-workers.

The Kidney Foundation of Canada is a national volunteer organization dedicated to improving the health and quality of life of people living with kidney disease. The Kingston Chapter carries out this mandate by providing programs and services to kidney patients, as well as supporting public education, promoting kidney health and organ donor awareness, and emergency financial assistance to those in urgent need. Given the current circumstance there are more demands on the Foundation than ever before.

Our local chapter delivers services to kidney patients and their families in Kingston, Belleville, Picton, Napanee, Brockville, Smiths Falls and Bancroft.

The Kidney Foundation realizes the stressors that business and individuals are facing right know, but we also know that our donors and supporters are the best and, when called upon, are there.

Given the current situation with Covid-19 we are unable to hold our regular fundraising activities and events and so we hope you will consider our request for support.

Visit our website at kidney.ca for updates and information about Covid-19 that directly impacts kidney patients.

Please do not hesitate to contact me at katie.kyte@kidney.ca or 613 449 1065.

    Yours truly,
